Planning |
A rough draft of the
operations required to manufacture a part is created at the time a part is
quoted.
Detailed instructions are then
written and a shop traveler is issued along with the material required to
manufacture a batch of parts.
As parts move through each
operation, revisions are documented on the traveler in order to improve
the quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process on subsequent
orders. |
Outsourcing |
Excel has a variety of sources
for processes that are not performed within our facility. All
vendors have been selected based on quality, consistency, reliability and
value. Most vendors have been approved by major aircraft and
government agencies where required.
Quality |
Product quality is carefully
monitored through every operation and process to guarantee a final product
which consistently meets customer requirements. |
Traceability |
Every batch of parts is
assigned a unique job number and thoroughly documented through out the
manufacturing process to assure complete traceability for all of our
products. |
Documentation |
All product related
documentation is digitally scanned and stored for easy access. This
allows safe off-site backup storage of files on archive tapes or CD-ROM
and provides nearly unlimited storage times. Multiple job files may
also be collected and written to CD-ROM discs which can be provided when
requested by a customer. |
